Fall Planting Party

A series of events celebrating 10 years of building healthy plant & people communities

Festival Beach Food Forest is celebrating our ten year anniversary. What began as a field of Bermuda grass in 2015 has flourished into a thriving, diverse community of plants (and people!). Last Fall, we planted over 100 trees to begin rooting into Phase II. This Fall, we’ll establish plant guilds around our Phase II trees, feeding the both soil and saplings. This is a huge endeavor, and we need your help! Join us for one or more community workdays in October and November. We’ll also have two special post-workday parties with music, food and activities— come celebrate ten years with us!

First Saturday Plant Walk

Every first Saturday | 9 – 11am

We will walk among the plants and point out what is growing, what can be harvested, how to use the medicinal herbs, and invite you to be part of the Food Forest family. Bring a basket to harvest if you’d like!

Sunday Yoga in the Forest

Every Sunday | 11am

Join us for yoga underneath the shade of our Pecan trees. Every Sunday at 11am (weather permitting), one of our core volunteers will guide you through gentle movement and nature-centered meditation. For those who have the means, donations are encouraged – everything goes to supporting our community food forest! The practice is welcoming to all levels and bodies, and afterward, feel free to explore & forage. Check out our instagram @austinfoodforest for the most up-to-date info!
